Q1: AirPods are too quiet?

A: If both are too quiet then it is not likely that they are defective. Nor is it likely that it will happen through normal pollution. You would have to fill it with sand, earth or PU foam. Isopropanol is definitely not good, alcohol dissolves plastics. Clean only with soft cloths without detergent. I think 2 possibilities are likely: something is wrongly adjusted or your ears are blocked. Go to the ear doctor.
