Q1: Why is the iPhone constantly trying to send messages as iMessage, even though iMessages are off?
#iPhoneXR I have an iPhone XR for several weeks now. As always, I have disabled the iMessages, because in my experience, the delivery is unreliable and sometimes very time-delayed. In addition, I have included in my rate unbelievably many SMS and MMS, so that it does not matter to me financially, whether it is sent via SMS / MMS or via iMessage - because I prefer to choose the more reliable option for me.
